Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 10, 2026

HEATJAC, LLC ("HEATJAC," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website heatjac.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or purchase our products, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us.

  • Contact form: when you contact us through the Site, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
  • Orders: when you purchase products, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and order details. Payment card information is collected and processed directly by our payment processor; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
  • Email correspondence: if you email us at contact@heatjac.com, we receive the information you include in your message.

Information collected automatically.

  • Site analytics: we use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics services (Umami and Ahrefs Analytics) that do not use cookies and do not build individual visitor profiles. They process technical information (such as page viewed, referring site, browser and device type, and approximate country/region derived from your IP address) and store it only in aggregated, de-identified form.
  • Strictly necessary cookies: our website platform (Squarespace) sets a small number of cookies that are required for the Site to function, such as security (CSRF protection), session management, and shopping cart cookies. These cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising.

We do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies on the Site.

2. How We Use Information

  • To process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and to send order confirmations and shipping updates
  • To respond to your questions and customer service requests
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including preventing fraud, spam, and abuse
  • To understand aggregate Site usage so we can improve our products and content
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting requirements

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers: companies that perform services on our behalf, such as our website and e-commerce platform (Squarespace), payment processors, shipping and fulfillment carriers, and our analytics providers. These providers may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal compliance: when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: if HEATJAC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

4. Cookies

The Site uses only strictly necessary cookies required for core functions such as security, checkout, and the shopping cart. Because these cookies are essential to providing the Site and services you request, they cannot be switched off through the Site; you can block or delete them through your browser settings, though parts of the Site (such as checkout) may not work correctly if you do. Our analytics services are cookieless: they set no cookies and store no identifiers on your device.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Order records are retained as required for tax, accounting, warranty, and legal purposes. Contact form messages are retained as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. Aggregated analytics data does not identify you and may be retained indefinitely.

6. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Site and PCI-compliant payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Site is a general-audience site intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at contact@heatjac.com and we will delete it.

8. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and similar laws in states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and Oregon) may give you the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you
  • Receive a portable copy of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (note: we do not sell or share personal information for these purposes)
  • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@heatjac.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity (for example, by matching information you provide against our order records) and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will inform you of the outcome.

California notice at collection: we collect the categories of personal information described in Section 1 (identifiers, commercial information, and internet activity information) for the business purposes described in Section 2. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit.

9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because we do not track visitors across third-party websites or use non-essential cookies, the Site does not respond differently to "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control browser signals — there is no cross-site tracking to opt out of.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
